BUGMC NO MORE!

Sources close to Ed Hopper yesterday confirmed that he was fed up with the BUGMC website. "It's true" he said, it was poorly designed, I was more interested in the Perl code than the content. Further shock came as he revealed he had, for once, listened to his friends "I actually discovered that they've been gving me all this advice for years, I had until now just put it down to background noise."

“I actually discovered that they had been giving me advice for years..... I had just put it down to background noise”

"The first thing I did was listen to them about the name" the new site will be called BOGIES, a name that some members feel is more appropriate for the Bath University Graduate Mountaineering Club. There is even a new domain for the Club www.bogies.org.uk.

Once completed the new site will contain publicly available trips and club sales information, along with a web galley, and highlghts of recent trips. Members will be able to post trips, sales and pictures on the site, as well as each having access to their own (personal) e-mail forwarding service and club mailing lists, very useful for people who want to keep a little privacy.

For now however the BOGIES website is closed, pending construction. When asked when the site was likely to open again Ed Hopper said "I hope to have it up and running soon, most of the code etc has been written, I just need to alter the format". When it was noted that the format of the pages had been the problem in the first place Ed responded "..shut up..".

In the Meantime......

The Club is open to anyone in their final year at The University of Bath, or beyond. It's also open to partners family and friends. If you would like to find out more please, for the meantime, use my feedback form to send me a message.
